KATRINA'S PET (FOR MY MENTOR)
This is a drawing that I did during my senior year in high school. The head football coach and I were very close during my time there, so I decided to do a pastel for him and surprise him. I drew this in July, but waited until it had been framed before I gave it to him. This occurred directly after we returned to school following Hurricane Katrina and he's the head football coach at a different school now. This work, which now features the opposing team's mascot, is hanging in his office. Please excuse the poor quality of the image. A better capture will be available later when I have time to travel to see Coach. I'll take the measurements then, too.
